The Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MOET), the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry (MoFALI), and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) jointly organized the project " Improving the ability to adapt to climate change and risk management of rural people in Mongolia" is being implemented in 68 districts of Khovd, Zavkhan, Dornod, and Sukhbaatar aimags between 2021 and 2028. Within the framework of the project, under the order of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, the non-governmental organization "Mongolian National Federation of Pasture User groups" was awarded the consulting service contract. The consulting team completed the work within 5 months from April 15, 2022. The consulting work was carried out in the Dornod and Sukhbaatar Aimags, where the project is being implemented, and a total of 550 people, including herders, especialist, producers involved in the preparation and and representatives of enterprises from 10 districts, "MNS 6891:2020 Responsible nomads are worthy "Requirements for the introduction of practices" standard training was organized in online and classroom.
In accordance with the task and action plan of the consulting service to introduce and promote the standard "MNS 6891:2020, the requirements for the adoption of good practices of responsible nomads", in addition to organizing 2 online trainings for herders with the participation of herders and herders organizations, a specialist from soum government, cooperatives and representatives of processing companies from the two target aimags and 73 percent or 402 herders participated out of 550 people that have been included in a training session.
