As part of the implementation of the Responsible Nomads Code of Practice, MNS 6891:2020, MNFPUG cooperated with Meatpack LLC conducted auditing and verification activities in 4 soum of Eastern Region and traced all the steps of the meat value chain from the herder’s household into the hands of the consumer. Only herders who have met the requirements of the Responsible Nomad standard and who have received a certificate of compliance will be awarded an increased price per kg. The animals remained in quarantine for 14 to 21 days and animal health surveillance and animal health examination and laboratory tests were performed on each animal.
