The technical Committee of Textile Standardization (ISO/TC 38/WG 33) is beginning the creation of international standard on Animal welfare in supply chain– Product specification for the production, preparation, labeling and traceability of cashmere from beginning of 2024. 

Aiming to provide a comprehensive analysis of climate risks for children in Mongolia, the study assesses the current state of climate change, reviews national policy measures, examines environmental impacts on children, and proposes actionable recommendations for child-sensitive climate policies.

About 72 percent of Mongolia’s total territory of 1.56 million square kilometers is considered grazing land; ranging from desert to desert-steppe, steppe, forest-steppe, taiga, and high mountain which provide forage for livestock, habitat for wildlife and important watershed functions. On August 19, Speaker of the State Great Khural G.Zandanshatar got acquainted with the operations of the ‘Mongolian Ball’ factory that is producing soccer balls made of processed yak leather. The factory’s manager B.Erdenebayar received the Parliament Speaker and introduced the products.

Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has started its support to Mongolia with Humanitarian Aid project during 1999/2000 heavy dzud which was followed up by long-term development cooperation program through Green Gold Animal Health Project with the aim to contribute to improved livelihood of herder households through sustainable rangeland management, better marketing and a conducive legal and policy environment.

Collective Code of Practices for Sustainable Nomadic Livestock Production has been approved as a National Standard in Mongolia

The "All Members Meeting" of Green Gold Finance SCC was organized at the headquarters of the Mongolian national federation of Pasture user groups / March 18, 2021 /. Participants participated in the plenary session, both online and offline, and discussed six main issues. Specifically, Green Gold Finance SCC's annual report for 2020, the Supervisory Board report oversaw the report, dividends, allocation of assets, re-election of members of the Board of Directors, amendments to the charter's approval 2021 action plan, and budget.
