The Mongolian National Federation of Pasture User Groups (MNFPUG), through aimag and soum-level Pasture User Group Associations, is organizing a series of trainings for herders and herders’ collective organizations across the country.
These trainings are being implemented with the support of international organizations and development projects and programs. The activities are aimed at promoting sustainable rangeland management, strengthening cooperation among herders, and improving local capacities.
The trainings cover the following key topics:
- Collective rangeland management and sustainable pasture use
- Pasture use agreements, regulations, and implementation
- Technologies and quality standards for livestock raw material preparation
- Governance of herders’ organizations and business entities
- Management, leadership, and cooperation skills
- Community-based development approaches
Through these trainings, special attention is being given not only to improving herders’ knowledge and practical skills, but also to supporting the sustainable operation of local collective organizations and strengthening herders’ participation and collective decision-making.
The Mongolian National Federation of Pasture User Groups will continue expanding its cooperation with government institutions, international organizations, and development projects to support herders’ livelihoods, sustainable rangeland management, and local development.
